Mayer Energy Storage Technology Breaks Through the Dilemma of Tropical Planting, and Sanya Smart Greenhouse Leads Industry Innovation
2025-11-14
Recently, exciting news came from the Hongqi Base of Sanya Research Institute under China Agricultural University — Guangzhou Mayer TES Technology Limited Company has officially put into operation its multi-energy complementary ultra-low energy consumption smart greenhouse. This facility agriculture achievement integrating multiple independent innovation technologies has completely overcome the bottlenecks in tropical planting, truly achieved the goals of "high yield, superior quality and stable returns", and injected strong momentum into the development of tropical facility agriculture.

Sanya's summer climate is characterized by high temperatures and humidity. Traditional greenhouses, however, are plagued by high energy consumption and difficult regulation, resulting in an annual idle period of more than 4 months and persistently high operational costs. Mayer TES's technological solution offers an innovative approach to address this industry pain point.

The core technology of the project lies in the integrated application of self-developed phase-change cold storage materials and a multi-energy complementary system. The high-performance phase-change material laid in the underground layer of the greenhouse can stably control the soil temperature at 20-23°C, which is 10°C lower than the outdoor temperature; combined with solar photovoltaic/thermal systems, wind power generation, and smart heat pumps, a full-cycle precision control system has been built. During summer, the temperature inside the greenhouse is 4°C cooler than outdoor conditions, enabling year-round continuous cultivation.

The successful commissioning of this project has not only solidified the commercial value of phase-change energy storage technology in facility agriculture scenarios, but also filled the application gap of green smart greenhouses in tropical regions. Leveraging its low-carbon footprint, operational efficiency, and replicable model, the project's demonstration effect is poised for rapid expansion across Hainan Island and tropical zones in Southeast Asia, aligning perfectly with local policy initiatives such as "Green Agriculture" and "Smart Agriculture". This breakthrough not only pioneers a new development path for tropical facility agriculture, but also establishes a robust foundation for Mayer TES's large-scale expansion in the agricultural field. The project will continue to fuel the company's growth momentum and create new drivers for sustainable development.
