Recently, Guangzhou Mayer TES Technology Limited Company completed the upgrade and retrofitting of fuel‑powered cold‑chain vehicles for Guangzhou Yiyi Logistics Co., Ltd. The National Standard Class F low‑temperature cold‑chain vehicles equipped with the self‑developed ‑19°C phase‑change cold storage system have been officially put into service. This delivers a systematic optimization solution to address common pain points of conventional cold‑chain transport vehicles: large cabin temperature fluctuations, uneven temperature distribution, high operating energy consumption, rapid cabin temperature rise after engine shutdown, and long re‑cooling cycles caused by door opening during loading and unloading.

Strictly complying with the national standard for Class F refrigerated vehicles, this retrofitting adopts Mayer TES’s proprietary ‑19°C phase‑change cold storage material. It innovatively applies a cooling mode featuring "phase‑change cold storage as the primary measure and mechanical auxiliary cooling as the supplement", which differs from the full‑process mechanical refrigeration adopted by traditional vehicles. The retrofitted cargo compartment maintains a stable constant‑temperature environment of ≤‑18°C with temperature fluctuation kept within ±1°C. With uniform cold release and precise temperature control, it is perfectly suitable for transporting various deep‑frozen goods such as quick‑frozen food, fresh aquatic products and frozen raw materials.

These vehicles feature passive cold‑retention capability. When idling, stuck in traffic or parked with engines off, they can continuously release cold energy to stabilize internal temperature, completely avoiding temperature rise after shutdown as well as cargo spoilage due to freeze‑thaw cycles. Adaptable to complex working conditions including high‑temperature open‑air environments, long‑distance inter‑provincial haulage, urban‑rural distribution and warehouse transshipment, the vehicles greatly cut cargo loss during transportation.

This practical cooperation represents an important commercial application of Mayer TES’s phase‑change cold storage technology. Going forward, Guangzhou Mayer TES will keep advancing technological innovation for low‑temperature cold‑chain scenarios, optimize cold‑chain vehicle retrofitting solutions, and facilitate the efficient, low‑carbon and compliant upgrading of the cold‑chain logistics industry.
